Tax Bills

Tax bills are issued twice a year.  Summer tax bills are sent on July 1, and are due by September 14.  Winter tax bills are sent on December 1, and are due by February 14. Taxes remaining unpaid are turned over to the Kent County Treasurer for collection on March 1.

Summer tax payment my be delayed until February 14 for 1)  qualifying agricultural or horticultural property, or 2) for your residence if your household income the previous year is less than $40,000, and you are one of these:  blind; an eligible service person or veteran; an eligible widow or widower; paraplegic or quadriplegic; a senior citizen age 62 or older; totally and permanently disabled.

Sewer Bills

Sewer bills are mailed quarterly, at the beginning of January, April, July and October.  Single family residences are billed at the rate of 1 Residential Equivalency Unit (1 REU) which is currently $72 per quarter.

Businesses may be billed at multiples of that rate, based on estimated output.

Passports

Alpine Township is designated to accept passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.  Treasurer Jim Townsend is our passport agent, and offers passport services, including photographs, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, including evenings if necessary.

To assure his availability, call Jim to schedule an appointment at 784-1262.
