Burning Permits
Property owners who require a burning permit (for uses other than solely for food) must register each calendar year with the Fire Chief or the Township Offices. Prior to burning, the property owner must have verbal permission to do so from the Fire Chief (616-784-5750) or the Township Offices (616-784-1262) in his absence.
For a more complete look at burning permits, see the Burning Ordinance (#98-1), in PDF format.
Address Markers
Reflective address markers are available through the Township Fire Department. The green markers with white numbers can be ordered with a steel post, or without if you are installing the sign on an existing mailbox post. The signs can be picked up or arrangements for installation by a Fire Department volunteer may be requested. The cost for the marker is $15.00 (with or without the post).
